The club would like to thank supporters for their outstanding generosity in the recent T20 shirt auction.
The auction raised a total of £2,200 for the Sussex Cricket Foundation, money which will be put towards the Champions Fund which supports young cricketers of all ages, abilities, genders and backgrounds from across the county.
Each of the signed, match-worn shirts of the 19 Sussex players that appeared for the Sharks in this year’s Vitality Blast received a bid.
Twelve shirts attracted bids of £100 or more, with Ravi Bopara’s shirt attracting the highest bid of £210.
Responding to the generosity of those that took part in the auction, Sussex Cricket’s Community Director, Gary Wallis-Tayler, said: "We are delighted to have raised a significant amount of money which will be put into our newly formed Champions Fund. This fund is to help financially support young cricketers across the County and the money our auction has raised will make a genuine difference.
“We are extremely grateful to everybody that placed a bid, to our professional players for donating their shirts and to the numerous members of the media who kindly helped raise awareness of the auction."
