Sussex Cricket is proud to support the Melanoma Fund’s Outdoor Kids Sun Safety Code campaign for 2021: Sun-Sorted!
Sun-Sorted! aims to give children knowledge of the essentials of staying safe in the sun this summer through a fun and educational quiz.
In support of the campaign, Sussex’s men and women’s players will be wearing Sun-Sorted! wristbands in warm-ups ahead of their matches against Kent this week.
Meanwhile, Sussex Cricket Foundation has been promoting the campaign to its affiliated clubs and offering them the opportunity to receive free sun protection kits for the summer ahead.
Cricket is a fantastic way to enjoy the British summer and Sussex Cricket wants to make sure as many children as possible can do this safely.
Gary Wallis-Tayler, Sussex Cricket Community Cricket Director said: “We are delighted to be supporting the Sun-Sorted! campaign which highlights the importance of sun safety amongst our recreational clubs across the county.
"As a popular summer sport we have a duty of care to ensure the health & safety of those playing the game. We encourage children from all our recreational clubs to take part in the online quiz and for clubs to access free giveaways to support this campaign”
The Sun-Sorted quiz is available here.
