Robinson, Archer, Jordan and Garton progress to Wicket World Cup semi-finals

3 May 2020

The semi-finals of our inaugural Wicket World Cup have been confirmed, after George Garton became the final bowler to secure his spot in the last four on Saturday.

Garton’s dismissal of Middlesex batsman Stephen Eskinazi joins the wicket that saw Ollie Robinson take 8-34 against the same opposition, Chris Jordan's perfect yorker  vs. Durham and Jofra Archer's hat-trick in the 2018 Vitality Blast - again against Middlesex - in the final four.

The wickets, which were chosen by Sussex head coach, Jason Gillespie as his favourite since taking charge at the club, have received over 19,000 video views and more than 1,600 votes over the last two weeks.

Our quest to find the best wicket taken during ‘The Dizzy Years’ continues on Monday, with the first semi-final seeing Ollie Robinson take on Jofra Archer! Voting will open at 10am on Twitter

Sussex Cricket Foundation also want to see you recreating these incredible wickets! You can be playing on your own in the garden, or have a full slip cordon of family members set up in your living room - it doesn't matter.

Send your recreation videos to @SussexCricketFd with #WicketWorldCup and they will retweet the best!
