Preston Nomads were crowned Sussex Indoor champions on Sunday as they beat Littlehampton CC at Portslade Sports Centre.
After beating Crowhurst Park CC in the first semi-final of the day, Nav Patel, who has recently been called up to England's Indoor XI, took figures of 3-9 from his three overs in the final as Littlehampton were all out for 74.
Littlehampton had reached the title decider after beating Ifield in their semi-final, but a slow start in the final saw them reduced to 18-5 after five overs, and defending their total always looked a challenge.
In reply, Nomads always looked comfortable, and they reached their target of 75 with six overs to spare.
Clubs qualified for Sunday's finals through locally run indoor leagues across the county during the winter, and Nomads will now represent Sussex at the regional finals in Canterbury.
