The Sussex Cricket Foundation Six-a-Side Finals Day took place at the The 1st Central County Ground on Sunday.
Pagham CC, Little Common Ramblers CC & Crawley Eagles CC were the teams involved, with each having qualified as winner of their local competitions.
The teams took part in a round robin league on the day, with each side playing each other twice in five-over-a-side matches. The winner of the league would be crowned champions.
Going into the last game, all was still to play for as Pagham needed to win to guarantee their spot at the top of the table. A Crawley Eagles win, would have seen all three teams tied on 2 wins (4 points) and the title decided on 'Runs per Wicket' average.
Winning the final game ensured Pagham were the eventual and deserved Champions of the competition winning 3 out of 4 games, Little Common ended as Runners-Up winning 2 out of 4 games and Crawley Eagles finished in 3rd place.
Thanks must go to all of the teams for taking part and their supporters, the Umpires & Groundstaff who all contributed towards a fantastic day in the late summer sunshine. The standard of the cricket was also superb, with particular mention to the fielding from all of the teams.
David Bowden & John Abbott presented the trophy and signed bat mementos to all of the teams, paying special thanks to Wilson Sandford Chartered Accountants for their continued support and sponsorship of the competition.
