Items donated by Sussex Cricket to the 'Together Through This Test' auction have so far raised just over £5,000.
The auction, which began on 22 May and continues until 14 June, has seen the ECB and all 18 first-class counties come together to raise money for local charities across England and Wales during these testing times.
Funds raised from items donated by Sussex Cricket will go back into our local community, with supporters invited to nominate charities they believe would benefit from the ‘Together Through This Test’ auction. Details of the nomination process will be announced in the coming weeks.
Approximately 20% of the money raised will also be donated to the Sussex Cricket Foundation, our charitable arm, who continue to actively change lives through cricket within the county of Sussex.
Cricketing items such as Jofra Archer's limited-edition Sussex Sharks jumper, Ben Brown's bespoke wicket-keeping gloves and the hire of The 1st Central County Ground for your very own T20 are up for grabs, while experiences like a weekend trip to Barcelona and the chance to become a winemaker with Ridgeview can also be purchased.
In total, 19 items have been donated by Sussex Cricket to raise money for our community. To view the full list, and the other great items donated by the ECB and first-class counties, click here.
We do, however, also appreciate that the times we currently find ourselves in are difficult for some, and while you might love to donate to the ‘Together Through This Test’ auction, you might not be in a position to do so.
Therefore, we are also encouraging our supporters to join the ‘Send a Sid’ campaign, which asks fans to purchase a cuddly Sid the Shark toy for £15, with £5 from each purchase being added to Sussex’s ‘Together Through This Test’ fund.
Buy your Sid today and put a smile on a loved one's face or keep it for yourself, all whilst helping raise money for a worthwhile cause.
